"Be aware there are no elevators. We knew this but our room was on the third floor, basicly the attic, and we are both in our 70s. The air conditioner was noisy so tough to sleep. It served the purpose as we were attending a funeral in the area."

"Room wasn't available when I arrived. Was called earlier in the day to confirm reservation that was prepaid almost 3 months earlier. Breakfast was terrible. No orange juice the first day, no apple juice or orange juice the second day. I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone!!"

"This hotel was clean, with friendly staff. It is outdated and could use some remodeling. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. Our keys didn't work initially - a quick visit resulted in an easy fix. The breakfast is what you would expect, only issue was the waffle iron was broken, so not an option unfortunately. Beds were not super comfortable, but fine for a 1-2 night stay. Anything longer and it may have become an issue for back problems."

"Front desk staff were not friendly at all. We booked a suite for 7, we got 3 towels, when I asked for more, they acted like I was taking all they had! We stayed 2 nights, housekeeping did not update towels, toilet paper, etc. I had to ask for it, was told to bring dirty tags downstairs to switch out that housekeeping does not do this until you checkout. Breakfast was good but the space was too small for the amount of people that was there."

"We were there three days. The property is old but fairly well maintained. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The clerk at the desk was very nice but the fellow watching over the breakfast was thoroughly annoying, cutting in and taking over the process of my making my waffle. I was unable to have tea during my stay as they did not have any milk. Would have thought someone would have taken the initiative to go to the store to have milk on hand. No cereal option because of lack of...

"The staff were more engaged with their own conversations than actually welcoming me as a guest and focusing on my stay. It was especially striking because I was the only guest upon my arrival and the only guest at the buffet upon my arrival. When addressing me they rushed and then quickly returned to laughing and hanging out together"

"A beautifully maintained hotel that was a great place to spend the night. We stayed in the tower with two and adults and two kids and was great to have three different levels, including the sitting room at the top with windows all around. The snacks in the communal sitting area was much appreciated and breakfast was very nice."

"Bed was supposed to be king sized but that was the smallest king sized bed ive seen, at best thay was a queen size but they said that is their king sized room. Bed was very uncomfortable. When my husband moved it immediately bounced me on my side. Felt like i was in a trampoline not a bed. I asked them to make the extra bed in couch and they barely left any covers for that bed. "The Lafayette Inn is a beautiful mansion, with lovely gardens, a welcoming entry and living area and fabulous staff. We were very pleased with our 3-night stay. Breakfast options were plenty and Kristen prepared the egg bites and pastries to perfection. The snacks, cookies, coffee, filtered water were amenities not often scene. The king room was comfortable and roomy. We highly recommend the Inn."
