Wauw beautiful hotel ❤️🇮🇹 We loved everything. Location was perfect. Nice parking, friendly and helpfull staff. Breakfast was nice. Terrace was beautiful and peacefull ❤️
This is a beautiful, historic hotel, and Victoria who worked there was amazing, filled with passion about the hotel and giving us an amazing tour. Our room was charming, clean and the bed was comfortable.
However, the plumbing in our room was dreadful, we had to flush the toilet multiple times in the night to stop it creaking and keeping us awake, we couldn't open our balcony window, which wasn't a bad thing as the road was so noisy. We also had no hot water at all for our stay, so were forced to have cold showers (other guests told us they had the same issue).
When we told the staff our issues, there was no indication of any plan to resolve the issue, or any apology, we were just asked to pay our city tax in response. Luckily we were only there one night.
This was all such a shame, as we were really looking forward to spending our last night of a wonderful holiday in this beautiful old hotel. Luckily we only had one night there.
Great hotel. Centrally located. Excellent breakfast and coffee. Felt like we were staying in a museum. Beautiful rooms and all side rooms we visited while pottering around. Adorable rooftop terrace. You have to appreciate history, old world charm and the beauty of staying in an historic hotel that is beautifully preserved.
Basic but clean hotel room. Very friendly staff. Perfect for a couple nights in Pisa as it is close to main tourist area. It is noisy though due to this but the noise does stop in the night.
Okay for the money. No AC, lots of mosquitoes due to open windows. Extremely loud until 330AM on Fri/Sat nights. Great location if not driving. Difficult parking with ZTL restrictions.
To be clear, this hotel bills itself as the oldest hotel in Italy. It is definitely vintage. That is part of the charm. My wife and I found it to be a wonderful place to stay. It is right across the road from the river Arno. People do party on the river walk for an extended time at night. If that is going to bother you, see if you can get a room on the other side.
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was great!
There are only one or two parking spots in the hotel's rear court. $20. Reserve early if you want one. Pisa does not have much parking.

Lovely room, comfy bed, very old style, traditional look. Will come back and would recommend the hotel to friend.
The property was charmingly old worldly and the position was perfect. But the rooms were very shabby with no fridge, useless air conditioning and the bathroom needed total updating. Overall our room and bathroom were dirty and needed a total refurbishment. As did the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was chaotic - the toaster broke and wasn’t replaced. The coffee machine wasn’t refilled etc because of there not being enough staff. All the staff however were charming and helpful and were working really hard.
Unique hotel, very clean, comfy beds.

POSITIVES
The hotel is amazing of you like old things. It’s very historical and has a lot of old artifacts that are fascinating.
Staff were pleasant and welcoming.
15 minutes from train station and 15 minutes from the leaning tower. Overlooks the canal which is beautiful. And if you’re lucky you might get a communal balcony to sit out in on the canal.
Good size bathroom and reasonable size bedroom.
NEGATIVES
We were in a side room which overlooked an alley, not normally a problem, but with the current heatwave we were unable to keep the windows open at night due to the street and bar noises which left us with little sleep.
The air conditioning unit in our room was also broken. We were left with a small fan that pushed air around in over 31 degree heat, absolutely stifling.
The water pressure was poor, and the hot and cold took far longer than it should to kick in. Mostly we had lukewarm water for everything.
