Booked the triple ticket with Uffizi, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. Rooms in Pitti Palace and the amazing artworks worth the extra - like a mini Uffizi without the large crowds.
Go early, get half price entry - and no crowds either! The palace was breathtaking. The Palatine Gallery is amazing as is the Modern Art, but the Costume Gallery...meh. We expected to see costumes throughout the ages but it’s mostly very modern C20th, much of it from the 1950’s-1980’s. We walked through it very quickly. Don’t miss the Museo degli Argenti, the Treasure museum. We nearly did and only spotted it on our way to the exit. The Pitti was definately a highlight of our trip.
Lots of stairs! Be prepared if you have mobility issues.
Didn’t go to the palace but did visit the Boboli gardens. Unless you are desperate to escape the city I wouldn’t really recommend.
Impressive building but by the time you have visited the Uffizi you start to get Renaissance Art overload
