The Hotel Roi du Christophe was just what’s we needed. It is very close to the bus station which was what we needed. The owners very kindly arranged a driver to take us to the Citadelle which was the purpose of our trip.
Power cuts were infrequent and only lasted a few minutes Andrew there was plenty of hot water. The food was good and reasonably priced, although the service was slow.

The hotel is undoubtedly the jewel of Cap Haitien. It could be the location, on top of the hill overlooking the bay and the town, but it is not that. It could be the really deep cool pool, but it's not that either. It could even be the very pleasant surroundings and the massive-sized rooms, but really, it's the people which make the difference. The staff at the hotel are funny, kind, warm, very helpful and easy to be around. AND, if you're blessed enough to meet Nick, the owner, then you're in...
