"Parking is nice but having to pay $15 for parking is a it much. The hotel is nicely located, I didn’t spend that much time at the hotel to see any of the amenities but it was decent "
"Bathroom door doesn’t close without forcing it back into the jam. Elevator smelled like old seafood, which might have been from the wet mud on the floor. The hallway smells like something. I don’t know what but it isn’t good. Heat pump doesn’t work so we slept at a temperature I don’t know but would best be described as hot and sticky. The hand towel rack is directly above the toilet paper. So you’d better not drip while drying hands. The cold water tap turns on both directions so you really have to nail it to the millimeter to shut it off."
"The initial room (319) was cold - the unit that was suppose to provide heat only blew out cold air regardless of the setting - management made aware and sent a man who came and hit it with a hammer which did not fix it- bathroom towels clothes and shower curtain dirty - blind on window detached from track - after many complaints to OWNER room was charged at midnight
Changed to 411 where heat worked and bath linen was clean but there was no handle on the shower to turn on the water to have showers after the long day- stay was with 3 minor children- OWNER made aware RESPONSE WAS HE WOULD DEAL WITH IT IN THE MORNING and he left property- the bedding was dirty and had what looked like urine stains on the pillow cases - dirty baby socks found tucked between pillow and made up bed
After contacting several people the next morning the room was changed late in the afternoon to room 426 which had clean linen heat and a handle on the shower however we noticed a roach and his buddies hanging out around the sink - I felt defeated and promised to be as vocal as possible about this dump and the HORRIBLE CONDITIONS
The main reason for selecting this property was the pool which was DISGUSTING! The lake up the road was cleaner for my kids to wet their feet in.
Hotels.com should send out people to visit these places before associated with them! This hotel has to do better and if you can you are better off at the MOTEL across the street"
"We have always been fans of Hampton inn and stay whenever possible. We were very pleased with our stay at the Hartford location, perfect spot for my daughters admitted students day event at Trinity college. We had a 2 queen suite and the room was large and just completely renovated. Beautiful views of the river and downtown Hartford. Our only complaint is there is only 1 sink in the room. There should be a second sink inside the large bathroom. Also the indoor pool was being renovated. Free breakfast was great as usual, we will definitely stay again once my daughter starts college this fall."
"Meal was not as good as last time.. The salmon was good but the Chicken Parm was just OK.. wouldn't order it again.
Hotel is tired / old and really needs a refurbish"
"Very small room and very, very small bathroom. Only soap was at sink, no sink in shower. First day. Also no shower mat first day. Corrected after I mentioned this. I laid a towel on the floor. Free coffee in the morning but no decaf. I inquired about staying until one. At night I was told $10 for extra hour. In the morning I was told $20 for extra hour. I paid the $20. Saturday evening a large crowd in the restaurant so had to park in the way back of the lot. Great location. $15 each day for resort fee, not explained when I made reservation. An expensive weekend!!"
