"We had a fantastic relaxing time at Creta Royal hotel. Hotel staff were very professional and attentive. Hotel and room were spotless all areas cleaned everyday. Food was amazing both at breakfast and dinner with lots of choice for both meat eaters and vegetarians something different everyday. Desserts were also varied and enjoyable.Beach and pool areas were wonderful. Enough chairs and parasols for everyone. Bus number 20 is 2 euros into rethymno old town easy and accessible. Bus is evey hour. The old town is a must visit. Thank you to the team for the surprise birthday cake and bottle of sparkling wine it was a lovely thoughtful suprise! We are already booking our next stay in September."

"I wouldn’t go to all inclusive to Greece again, maybe just with breakfast included for convenience, because the food outside in the restaurants is muuuch much much better and that’s one of the ways to experience Greece. The quality was ok, but nothing compared to traditional amazing flavours in the restaurants. Also the prices of food in the restaurants is very reasonable, 40-65eur for 2 people you fill your tummies :)"

"First of all, we stayed in early May when it was quiet. The (standard) room we stayed in was very good - spacious, clean, tasteful decor, good bed, dark and quiet. The breakfast was very good and the bar overlooking the beach also good. Otherwise there are a few things to note: The bathroom is small, compared with the room itself. The beach is overrun with sun beds, making it feel claustrophobic. There is a space at each end if you want to lay in the sand. The water is very clear and clean. You have to pay for the sun beds. The hotel receptionist says the sun beds are separate from the hotel, even though the sun beds on the beach are the same as around the pool ... and the guy that runs them eats in the restaurant each morning ... but it's a separate business, apparently. I've not stayed at a boutique beach hotel where you have to still pay to use a sun bed, hence the downrating. There's no parking."

"Good breakfast, wonderful view. The only let down was the water from the shower not having a more efficient drainage path. Other than that it was fantastic"

"The room was modern and spacious, balconies with a sea & mountain view. The buffet breakfast was fresh, with hot & cold choices, great coffee! Staff superb. Guests friendly with kind hearts. My wife was surprised when two Dutch couples presented her with a small gift, singing Happy Birthday on her birthday. Parking on site. Close to all amenities. Shout out to Anna & Constantina."

"The hotel was clean, comfortable, and provided a pleasant stay overall. The food was good and enjoyable, although the menu became a bit repetitive after a few days. It was disappointing that only one restaurant was open during our stay, which limited dining options. Also, having no water available in the room was an inconvenience. With a few small improvements, this hotel could offer an even better guest experience."

"We stayed in a standard room in the main building and it was so lovely! The breakfast was awesome and the walk down to the village was convenient. This hotel has a lovely restaurant attached with great food. Zaros Lake is just around the corner. My favorite part was the spring water running down the side of the road. A very lovely village to visit on your trip around Crete."

"Inadequate cooking facilities and the smallest and most difficult and awkward bathroom imaginable. The spaces were all cramped and difficult to maneuver. The front desk is advertised to be open all day and into the night, but good luck finding staff actually there at any time. The heat doesn't work and the bedding not adequate for that when it gets cold at night."
