Point Bonita Lighthouse

View on the way to Point Bonita Light House. (Heads up: It's only open on Sunday from 12:30-3:30)
The lighthouse is located at Point Bonita on the San Francisco Bay entrance in the Marin Headlands near Sausalito. The Point Bonita light was the last manned lighthouse on the California coast.

At the end of a 0.5mile hike after passing through a tunnel lies the gorgeous Point Bonita lighthouse. Marin Headlands had rugged, rocky landscapes dotted with wildflowers along the way. The strong wind blowing and the grey hued skies and seas was perfect for visiting a lighthouse. We decided to head to San Francisco using the Golden Gate Bridge initially, but had to take a huge detour to use the Bay Bridge as we didn't have FasTrak and the offices were already closed by then. The silver lining(haha, how apt) was that we managed to see Sausalito.. but it made us really late, and Fort Point was already closed.. and we had to settle for Boudin for dinner =P [August '14]
