"I would expect there to be more frequent transport available to take guests between town and hotel. Only one an hour is not enough. I would expect coffee in the room and not have to go to lobby. The staff did not help much when it looked like a storm might strand us at the hotel, I had to do all the investigating - fortunately we were able to get a ferry.
It’s not a hotel for anyone wanting to be anywhere than in their room. And in the bad weather we had on our stay it felt empty and lifeless...
"There are too many negatives to comment on but here are a few. The fact that this hotel was rated 9.2 on Expedia is an absolute joke.
On top of the poor quality, the room was more expensive than any hotel I have ever stayed in whether it was the Four Seasons in Maui or the Mandarin Oriental in London or San Francisco. Some examples:
- The hotel is nowhere near the beach or town. Make sure you understand that.
- The pool was empty.
- The showers near the pool (for cleaning up after the beach)...
"1st class stay on Nantucket and unbeatable location. Stayed in a King Family Room. The couch folded out, so 3 could sleep comfortably in the room. Staff was extremely helpful. Two things we really loved were being able to store our suitcases before and after check in and getting a ride down to the dock for the return ferry. Breakfast was delicious too."
"Very small and dark room with very small bathroom for a very high price. Pool is NOT heated. Shower is open so water sprays everywhere. No counter space. Not enough towels and did not provide fresh glasses or water bottles every day. Food at bar is ok. Lost my sunglasses and no one returned them from pool staff.. The only perks are walkable to beach and downtown and the property gardens are nice. Otherwise no reason to return here."
