With the window open the noise from the motorway was quite loud and with the window closed it was quite stuffy. Rather small pillows. OK for an overnight stay."

It was also quiet, and the air‑con made it easy to get the temperature right. A few things let it down: the décor felt a bit tired, shower sealant was peeling, the carpet was stained, and the kettle was scaled and awkward to fill. "Continental breakfast was good and staff were very helpful. The rooms are a bit outdated, stayed in a double room on the ground floor. And they do need to dust the furniture in the room. Bathroom was modern looking and clean like it had a refurbishment. Staying on the ground floor was a bit noisy at times with doors closing etc and hearing the bar and staff entrance door opening and closing. Overall good values for money and nice to have Co-op and Tesco nearby. Plus the Italian restaurant...

"I've stayed at this hotel a few times and always loved it but I was disappointed this time! Room thermostat didn't work + sink blocked. No-one came to change towels, empty bins etc. Breakfast was terrible on first morning - no cups, plates, cutlery, juice or some food items! Everyone was waiting for ages! Scrambled egg wasn't nice! Has put me off returning in the future!"
