Tres bien placé personnel plus que sympa... Chambre petite propreté moyenne mais pour le prix ca reste imbattable. Personnel qui parle francais et peut vous aider mm pour faire des courses tard le soir.

Not worth it, even if you bring your own bleach!

Filthy, run-down, with mold and/or mildew growing everywhere. The musty odors were over-powered in our room by the stench of decay from the rotting pressed-board cabinet that supported the sink. The sink and shower were backed up; they drained very slowly. It was disgusting to stand in the backed-up water to shower! The towels were supposed to be white, but they were mostly grayed, with rips and tattered edges, and not very absorbent. The bathroom floor tiles were cracked, and the wall tile grout was mildewed. The entire room was mildewed (or moldy), especially the wall with windows. Even the dilapidated shutters were moldy. There was some sort of feces from a rodent or insect on one window ledge, and something dark and fuzzy was growing in one corner. There were 3 ceiling light fixtures. Two contained very low wattage bulbs, but the third produced no light whatsoever. We asked repeatedly for the light bulb to be replaced, but we were told that the owner would not approve this. Not sure, but maybe it was too expensive to provide lighting for paying guests? The mattress creaked, there was no mattress-cover nor fitted sheet, and the 2 flat sheets used to make the bed were grayed and thread-bare. It was a horrible place! Even bleach, febreeze, and Lysol can't fix this place!

Bien placé mais pas propre

N'arrivez pas avant 14h on vous dira de revenir plus tard. En fait la dame qui s'occupe du ménage s'occupe aussi de la réception, du lavage, du repassage et de tout le reste... Nous avions précisé que nous avions un bébé de moins de 1 an, mais aucun lit de bébé n'était disponible. On nous a donné la chambre au dernier étage soit un genre de grenier transformé en chambre avec toilette et douche moisie et odeur d'égout. Mais il y avait la climatisation... L'hôtel n'est pas propre, les tapis des escaliers sont extrêmement sales, et l'hôtel qui à la base devait être fort majestueux, nécessite une rénovation en profondeur. Une chose, le personnel, malgré l'accueil désastreuse avant 14h00, nous a bien aidé par la suite pour le stationnement et autre. L'emplacement est parfais pour visiter Porto à pieds!

Embaixo da cama muita sujeira, restos de comida. O quarto nāo passa por limpeza há muito tempo.só fiquei no hotel por a reserva nāo permitia cancelamento.

Gute Preis/Leistung

Wir waren 2Nächte in diesem Hotel. Die Begrüßung war sehr freundlich und das Zimmer sauber. Das Hotel ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen aber für den günstigen Preis und die zentrale Lage sehr gut. Die Rezeption ist 24h besetzt und Gepäckaufbewahrung ist möglich. Würden das Hotel für eine Stadtbesichtigung weiterempfehlen.

Basic Satisfaction

The hotel was easy to be found from the train station Sao Bento. It was close to the river and though the facilities were rather simple one could not expect better for the price we paid.

Comfortable stay

We had a comfortable 3 nights stay. WiFi is stable and the room is spacious. About 20 mins walk to Sao Bento train station. Located in quiet neighborhood. A mini market nearby around 15 mins walk.

Ren och enkel hotell

Hotells fasad är gammal, en del personal kan inte prata engelska, och wi-fi är svag i vårt rum. Hotells läge är helt okej, rummet är rent. Personal är vänlig.

Surprisingly good.

The hotel was nice and neat. Everything clean and tidy. The location is very convenient, 10 minutes walk to the city center and a few food and drink places, frequented by locals, just up the side street. The room was quite spacious with a nice balcony providing a view of the Douro and some bridges. We would not hesitate to stay there again
