Short - minutes or so - walk from Postojna Cave Rooms & Apartments. If staying there you can obtain a 10% discount on tickets if bought from the reception desk in Hotel Jama (in the park); also avoids the potentially long queues at the main ticket office.
If using public transport, get bus to Postojna and walk 10 minutes to cave. Far more buses go here, especially on way home. Buses to caves not regular or on time.
Definitely worth seeing. Easy to get to by public transport plus you get to see gorgeous landscape en route. The caves are spectacular- the best I have ever seen. The train ride in too is so much fun.
