"The hotel had been abandoned. We managed to check-in but there have been no staff onsite since. A local has told us that the Indian company that owns the hotel has not paid the local staff wages and they have been forced to leave. The hotel is filthy, there is literally no staff anywhere to be seen. "

Bad/old towels No soap No water bottles A/C didn't work well in some rooms Remote controls were missing Rust doors in the bathroom (was not possible to get out if/when closed from in side) Clogged drainage Strong smell from the washrooms Broken closet seats Broken tap Breakfast is minimum Bugs in the pool Overall...

"Wonderful staff and very accommodating. Rooms are clean and the pool was well maintained. Great for families with kids since it is a brief walk from the Main Street in Arugambay."
