"I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was always friendly and receptive, the room was clean and comfortable, the pool was warm, and I had no serious issues of any kind. A perfectly good hotel."

"The suite was nice but it wasn’t cleaned very well! Had a cherry pit on the floor; crackers on the floor; I found a dirty Q-tip in the bedroom on the side of the bed! How gross is that?? The refrigerator had water in the bottom of it underneath the drawer! I had to clean that up! There was sand in the hot tub and ants crawling around the hot tub! I told the front desk about it and they did nothing! I also told the maintenance guy about the hot tub stuff and the refrigerator. He checked the refrigerator at least! Nobody else did anything! I did pay enough for the rooms and I expect to walk in to a room/and a hot tub to be clean! Don’t you think? How would you feel?"

"When we arrived, the staff greeted us with a smile. I told them that we were celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary and we received an upgraded room with a jacuzzi. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. And we were minutes from every place we needed to go."

"The Abbey is an icon and worth a stay IF you can get an affordable rate. It’s an old hotel so don’t expect things to be perfect. Despite them continually coating things in white paint it doesn’t take long or much effort to find things wrong/worn with the hotel. The room was clean enough but had red stains on the carpet and the bathroom needs an update, thorough cleaning, and caulk update. The spa is their main selling point but even there things like the steam room are in desperate need of more cleaning, tiles replaced, etc. It was worth the stay but keep your expectations lower and then you won’t be disappointed. "

"So the property was nice but there were a few oddities when we compare to other facilities. The room door opens directly into the bedroom, so you have to walk through the bedroom to get to the rest of the rooms. Somewhere it mentioned they had dvd players in the rooms but there were none to be used (we called the main desk). Most facilities have a pizza pan, but again there were none (called again). They have on-site gas barbecues but there were no tongs in the rooms or alongside the BBQs."
