"Perfect for an overnight stop along the Ceredigion Coast Path. The breakfast tray was very welcome as nothing was open for breakfast when I left (it was Sunday and I left at 8am as I was going all the way to Aberaeron). Also appreciated having a kettle in the room to make numerous cups of tea! Only minor issue was that I found the room cold, even with the heater on. And after a long day on the trail, I really wanted to be cosy and warm."

"Room was superb, we were upgraded to room 7 which was really a suite, with large windows overlooking Cardigan Bay. Two cocktails for £10 was fantastic start to stay. Disabled parking (and normal parking) on road directly outside. Restrictions apply but not after 30/09.The real bonus for this hotel was the service and friendliness of every member of staff."

"Really enjoyable stay. Hotel and rooms have been modernised and look great, aside from a few creaky floorboards! Very quiet when we stayed (missed the nightclub by one day fortunately). Perfect location for the town, castle, river, etc. Knocked off a mark for service as there's not a lot of staff around, but you can call for help if needed (but we didn't need to as it happened)."

"We stayed in the Executive Double which was huge. Tea and coffee making facilities in the main area and shampoo, body wash and towels provided in the large bathroom. The breakfasts were the best we have had in a long time. The only drawback was the very narrow passageway into the car park, but we mastered it after a few attempts."

"The staff were beyond accommodating and so incredibly friendly. The room was gorgeous and the valley view was breathtaking. The food and drinks were first class. Honestly loved every second we we spent there and didn't want to leave. 100/10"

Everything about it was perfect - my room was cosy and warm with all the facilities I needed (including a coffee machine!) and a sea view, the food was amazing (I ate here in the evening as well as for breakfast) and staff were friendly and helpful. If the price is right (I got a discounted rate this time due to having some one key credit), I will definitely stay again :)"

"Absolutely loved my stay at The Black Lion Royal Hotel. The room and bathroom were spotless and clearly very well looked after. The people at the reception are incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The English breakfast was delicious and freshly made each morning. Plus, the hotel’s pub has such a cute, cozy vibe, perfect for a relaxing evening. Highly recommend!"

"Wonderful host who gave an extremely warm welcome. We needed a night away after a stressful week and Gerogie was so considerate and warm and couldnt do enough to make our stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. Tea and coffee available, use of kitchen facilities, lovely hot tub, communal but good fun to get to know other guests. Food is abiut a 10-15 minute drive away, can recommend Poons Street food "
