Owner is very courteous and friendly, I arrived to the airport at San Cristobal and he personally received me and my girlfriend at the airport and took us to the hotel. Very nice guy, overall it’s a decent place to stay. Nothing luxurious but basic to take a shower and sleep.
Extremely satisfied with our stay !
The hosts Me Sub and Dr. Lenin were very helpful and patient. They did not try to market any tour but gave all the ideas and options and the best recommendations for places to visit and food. The clean personnel made sure the towels were changed and room cleaned. For Christmas, there was a nice red theme and towel animals. The shower and a/c were good. The hosts attended to any need right away. It was like staying , worry free with a family .
Had a nice time. Godwling, if we get to visit San Cristobal again, we would love to stay here !
I really enjoyed this property and I also understood from other reviews that it was a bit further out of the way. However, the quietness of this property was really appreciated and I enjoyed the 5 block walk. It wasn’t that big of a deal and if you have an issue walking this far, you may want to consider doing more walking each day.
The place was clean and I was greeted by the front desk who was very friendly, spoke great English, and made sure that I had everything I needed. Full stars for this property and just want to be clear it’s a 5 block walk to get here and not much around here. Book it if you don’t mind the walk and enjoy the quiet.

This hotel was what you would expect for a 3 star. The hotel was about a 20-25 minute walk to the main tourist area.
We loved this little hostel! We stayed in two rooms with my family. Nothing super fancy, but clean and comfortable. Great little outdoor seating area to hang out in. The family who runs it is lovely. They called us taxis anytime we wanted to explore and answered all of our questions.
Clean beds to sleep on. Ants in the first room so they switched us to another room, which eventually still had ants coming through. But it wasn’t as bad as the first room so we didn’t say anything. Weird design of bathrooms where the entrance is too short so we kept hitting out heads.
This was a good place to stay away from the crowds and busy noise of the nighlife. However, that did come with the downside of walking up a hill from the main attractions and streets. Taxis were able to come to and forth for only two dollar though and they’re very prompt. The garden were very nice and the outdoor area is clean and great to chill. If you’re okay with the sounds of chicken and roosters in the mornings it’s not a bad place at all. The actually rooms were wel maintained and cleaners did fantastic daily.
We arrived at the hotel around 5:30pm, they advised us that we could have 2 rooms instead of one big one that we reserved. We insisted on our original booking and they made us wait 1 hour to get a room.
The room was not available in the hotel but what appeared to be someone's house. This place did not have towels, soap or wifi. We had to resort to buying these to get through the day.
I would not recommend staying here if you do not get the room you requested right away
The owner Manuel is so sweet. Very helpful with just one call away. However, one night it was raining so hard that my window was leaking, woke up and there was water everywhere. Thank goodness I didn’t have any stuff on the floor. He was sorry about it the next day when he saw me. It’s not a big deal for me since nothing got wet. I love that my room has a mini fridge, to keep my water nice and cold. They supplied hot and cold water downstairs. Wifi was not working in my room, and very patchy in the common area. 15 minutes walking distance to the downtown , away from all the loud music and party area. I love the garden area it was full of different kinds of flowers and plants . Overall my stay was very good. And they have hot water too. Will stay again for sure.
Immediately upon arrival, when you enter the room there was a strong stench in the room that was musty and or mildewy. We turned on the AC thinking it’d work and checked the bathroom, there was mold in the bathroom. And the walls were cracked in the main room. I’m pregnant, traveling with my son so we couldn’t stay in a room with mold. The gentleman agreed he wouldn’t hold me to the room & when we had to rebook a hotel somewhere else and we were getting ready to leave he said that even though he didn’t have another room he wouldn’t refund us bc the room couldn’t be rented. I advised him that it was not safe to stay in a room with mold and he didn’t care. We had to leave regardless because I was pregnant and couldn’t possibly stay where there’s mold. The room was in poor condition and he had no qualms about renting it in such state. Horrible experience.
This place is meant for backpackers and is essentially a hostel. We had a family room - 2 doubles and a twin. We were fortunate in that we travel light and had 4 backpacks. Anyone who had luggage would not be able to fit it in the room. Nor would they be able to get it up the tight narrow stairs. The room itself had a lot of issues. Nowhere to hang anything, not even a towel rack in the bathroom. The room was dark, only a main light no lamps - at night the bright street lights came in to our room as the curtains were sheer. This hotel appears close to the main strip However, it was downhill and took 10 minutes with heat, we didn't attempt the walk back - taxis cost only $2. Do not assume that it is in a quiet neighbourhood. We stayed here on a Friday night and at 2:30 in the morning I was woken up by loud music & people talking loudly. The cleanliness of the apartment is another issue on its own. I understand that being a tropical country means bugs. However, this was an issue at bedtime for us when my son went to lay down on his pillow and there were ants everywhere. Due to the time of night we were not able to change rooms. Luckily, I had bug spray with me and was able to do a bit of damage control however, in the morning when I woke up, my arm was covered in ant bites. As was my sons. Earlier on in the evening, my husband killed a spider on the ceiling and removed a web. Sheets were stained from who knows what & the walls had marks from people killing other bugs.
La chambre est spacieuse. La cuisine a tout ce qu'il faut et Olga la maitresse des liens est juste parfaite. Une auberge qui permet de laver et faire secher son linge. Les 2 animaux adorable complète ce magnifique endroit
