"Playa Cativo Lodge is a wonderful place and the accommodations, food and staff were absolutely perfect. It was nice to be so close to the gulf which was calm, warm, sandy and perfect for swimming. My only complaint was that the entire front area of the lodge has been landscaped with grass and ornamental plants, many of which are not native. Because of this large open area few birds or animals come near the lodge. Bird watching was disappointing compared to lodges that have left the rainforest...

"Hi This place is great lots of birds at tree level and the his and hers showers are a nice touch. It's quite a walk up to some of the rooms so bear that in mind. The hotel restaurant is good and is also close to another new restaurant on the beach. The breakfast was great and the hosts were good. One the nicer places in drake bay but also slightly expensive, I will also mention the mosquito grills on the vents did let small flies in but I was at the start of the rainy season too. "Casa pequena is a lovely place held by a genuinely nice young couple. For nature and simplicity lovers this place is like heaven. Comfort is basic overall and the owners offer the option to have lunch and dinner on site with good local food. Internet access is a scare ressource only accessible from the main building for the time being but you don't really go there to spend your day on social networks. This is better to have your own car and a 4x4 is needed to access the site and the beaches...
