Peñasco del Sol

"So glad we found Peñasco del Sol for our stay! We loved that the hotel is slightly away from the other resorts, so it felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. The beach view was amazing, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the pool was very nice. We were a little disappointed that the swim-up bar and snack bar were closed the entire time we stayed. The only other letdown was the restaurant Fire Pit Meat Grill. The service was very slow, although the wait staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was inconsistent we had amazing Cesar salads the first night and the second it was almost inedible, though the ambience was great. Overall, we will definitely be booking this hotel again!"

"Location is great. Walk to everything in the malecon area. Hotel and rooms are very clean and comfortable. Included breakfast is very good. Wide selection of food choices. Beds are comfortable, AC works great and shower has good pressure. Now the bad, neighborhood dogs barking all night and cars racing down the street in front of the property. The rooms are very noisy and you will be awake most of the night. Bring ear plugs or you will be sorry. I would guess any of the places in the old port area are going to have similar noise issues."
