It was a cheap price and right near the beach which was perfect for what I was looking for. The manager was nice and gave us extra toiletries and fixed our ac at request. Would recommend if just looking for a place that’s close to the beach

It was clean there were markets nearby. Parking was easy and it's a gated community within a gated community. The pool was clean and so was the apartment. The fridge and ceiling fan were rusted but that happens next to the ocean. They even had a coffee pot and matches for the stove so I could make coffee. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Sent a special request through for two extra pillows and a wine opener, which was sitting waiting for us when we got there. Once again, I will say the front desk staff are very play and nice gentleman.

Stay there frequently

I stay here frequently when I come to Dominican to see my other half. I normally ask ahead of time for things like extra pillows or a wine opener, etc., and they always accommodate me, which is lovely. Great communication. The staff are very nice. Air conditioners in the bedrooms as well as fans on the ceiling to help. Keep it cool. The pool downstairs is small, but definitely there to cool you off my only suggestion would be some umbrellas, cause it gets pretty scorching hot back there

My wife and me are been staying there for over 6 years, some time for over 2 sees. I would highly recommend this place for couples, families and groups . About the staff is fair to saying they are very professional and friendly at same time. In fact I feel in debt with them because after all this years I should have done this review long time ago

This is my second time staying at Costambar, the reason is because I love the way it is. Super easy check in, pool always clean and the beach is right in front of the property. The only issue was they are remodeling the furnitures and the old ones are still inside the apartment and over the stairs. Please remove them as soon as possible, Me and my wife love to stay there and definitely coming back.

Liked the location and the staff. Didn’t like the beds which weren’t very comfortable, the bedroom windows lacked privacy. Also no microwave or the oven didn’t have a stove. Some improvements could be done to make guests more comfortable

The rooms are very clean and the bathroom has been upgraded. Very nice tile throughout. However, the beds and the bedding are terrible. The sheets do not stay on the bed and you find yourself on the bare mattress in the middle of the night. This could easily go from a 2 star hotel to a 3 star with mattress and bedding improvements.

Area outside the property was not very clean. Parking was very limited also. No coffee or any breakfast etc was available in the morning. Apartment was clean and attendant Mariano was nice and he was able to speak English.

Good point 1. Close to the beach (1 mins by foot) 2. Cheap (relatively) 3. Parking space 4. Warm water in the swimming pool. Bad point. 1. Old furniture and building (painting on the cieling kept falling down on bed..) 2. Only air condition in the room. (Kitchen and dining room was hot) 3. Old television (looks like 80th...)

Good for the price

Obviously, the price is fantastic. Front check-in guys whether it be morning or afternoon are both lovely gentlemen. The beds are terribly hard as well as the couch. Definitely need more than two pillows on the bed, Needs to have for as well as an extra blanket would be nice. Although there is a kitchenette, definitely need a little bit more of the basics like a can opener. Another must is drinking water. Even if you had some at the front check-in for purchase. It’s lovely how close to the beach it is as well as some nice restaurants like El Carey. Nice little corner store close to that restaurant to pick up whatever it is you need for great prices.

I'm not sure about the area. It seemed safe enough. It's right across the street from the beach. And there are restaurants within walking distance, although the one I ate at was a little overpriced. The unit was a 1 bedroom. It was cute. The hot water didn't get warm, so I took a cold shower. I hate cold showers but it did make the heat and humidity a little better. The towels were old and stained and didn't match, which was fine by me, but it seem a little bit ghetto. The bed was old, but not bad. The sheets seemed new, however were very slippery and had come off in the night while I was sleeping. I do toss and turn a lot tho. The AC was good if you close the bedroom door. The curtains were see through, which was weird because the neighbors were trying to peek inside when I first arrived. It was a bit noisy and I often woke up thinking someone was in my room. But overall, not too bad for the very reasonable price. I would probably not stay for more than 1 or 2 nights tho.
