"As an older property and with all the difficulties to maintain such a property I feel it has been taken care of very well , it's charming and welcoming, clean a comfortable and the food is great. We loved our 3 nights and hope to return in the future."

"Booked this hotel as the rest of our large group were staying at The Ivy Bush Hotel opposite, where they had been recommended. We were not disappointed, the hotel was beautifully decorated and everywhere spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was scrummy. Our friends at The Ivy Bush were extremely disappointed with their accommodation and evening meal and next time will book the Spilman Hotel. Would definitely recommend 😊"

"Stayed 2 nights as we were dj ing at the Grannell saturday night which is 3 hours from home. Key code system on all doors which is easy to follow. Rooms were clean and have tv, tea coffee facilities, also lots of hanging space. Beds were comfy. This is a pub with a restaurant, we dined twice and the food was phenomenal, the sunday carvery was excellent. Good choice of drinks. The whole team and regulars made us feel welcome for the whole time we were there. The staff and management couldnt do...
