"I stayed here because it's close to the airport, and I thought I could walk, but it's too dangerous to walk - you pretty much have to take a taxi, which is $20 each way from the airport. Also, I thought they had a cafe or something there, but there is no food (just a vending cooler), so if I'm paying $20 each way to get here, I'd probably stay somewhere else for the price. "
"Lovely hotel, rooms are nicely styled, roof top bar and resturant were wonderful. If you are coming or going by the ferry super convenient. Nothing else is great around this hotel neighborhood is kind of run down but our Uber driver said it is in process for re development. Staff was excellent!"
"Nice clean hotel, close to down town, port and shops. The Jr suite looked like it has a kitchen in the photos, but there is not even a microwave in the room! There is a refrigerator and kitchen sink but no kitchen supplies or means to cook. Other than that it was nice, however the hotel could do a little more updating - many places where paint is missing or discolored, and tiles broken, and the spa was cold not hot! The Jr suite was listed as Seaside view, but all you could see were the businesses, apartments, and crappy houses in the area - terrible view!"
"Stayed 6 nights in an overwater bungalow as part of a long trip to the islands of both Hawaii and French Polynesia. Service provided by our assigned concierge, Kea, was better than any butler service I have had over the years at other luxury hotels. The property is lovely and well kept. The bungalow was spacious, updated, and clean. Unfortunately there were a number of things that diminished the overall experience. First, the noise. I’ve stayed in overwater accommodations previously in The Maldives, Indonesia, and Colombia. I am currently at the Intercontinental La Moana in Bora Bora in an over water bungalow. It is serene and wonderful. I anticipated a similar experience of serenity and tranquility in Tahiti. But, instead, I had to listen to very loud music and announcements that went well past 10PM at night. Having traveled the world over the past 35 years I always have silicon ear plugs to dull the noise. Even with the earplugs, however, it was still loud. Some of the noise came from nearby but much of it was from the Intercontinental. In French Polynesia the year round humidity is between 80 and 90 percent. The average daily temperature hovers around 30. The fans in the dining areas were not sufficient to provide a comfortable dinning experience — even in shorts, tank top, and flip flops. The food was mediocre including at La Lotus. WiFi in room was ok but was not available in the gym and other areas of the property. This hotel pales in comparison to many other resorts."
"We were really enjoyed every minute our vacation!
The staff were excellent! I would like to say special thanks for help my request ( birthday surprise) to Maima. She did a great job to prepare my husband surprise present.
The room was spotless the restaurant was great. The bar was fun, many nights were live music on.
The beach and the ocean were clean and gorgeous. The place was overall our expectations.
We spent more than a week in the bungalow.
Highly recommend this place."
"We had a long layover so we decided to book a hotel near the airport. Communication before arrival was excellent and they responded quickly to our questions.. We arrived in the evening and later then expected due to a flight delay. Even with the delay, they had a shuttle waiting to pick us up. They also took us to the airport very easily in the morning the next day. Very pleased with the staff at the Lodge."
