a piece of art, the hotel is full of carvings

this is a hidden treasure, the whole hotel is full of carvings with inca inspirations, the owners are in top of guests needs at all times that makes up for been 2 blocks away from plaza de armas

Great hotel for family who don't care about view

$48 for a twin bedroom, this is absolutely good deal. The hotel is managed by a family, and it was well decorated, which make you feel like home. The breakfast served nicely, you get to have tea,coffee, and fresh juice they just prepare right before you come down. The only drawback is the location of the hotel, even though it's fairly close to downtown Puno, but the block of the hotel is kinda isolated and dark.

I must say that I was very comfortable there. The owner of the hotel made you feel at home and would make every effort to make your stay enjoyable. If I ever return to Puno I will definitely be back.

Ugliest hotel ever!

Although the hotel was clean enough and the service was ok, the decor was so ugly that it felt dirty and gross. Its dark and dreary, and the furnishings look really old and dirty. There's a bit of a smell in the whole place, and I couldn't tell if it was because everything was old, or because the owner intentionally scented it that way. It feels like the owner just overall has horrid taste and the whole place is affected by it. The staff don't really speak much English, which is expected but were able to help us with most of our questions. The immediate area is a little sketchy, especially at night. But, its only a 5-10 min walk from the main touristy strip. I don't know about the other hotels in Puno, but this place wasn't too pleasant.

Superb Customer Service

The owner of the hotel who worked the front desk went completely out of his way to make sure our visit was comfortable. He called and ordered us dinner, brought us a heater for the room, stored our bags no charge, called the next town we were going to, to get some hotel information for us. Breakfast was very good. Hotel is spotless. Room very comfortable. Really good shower. Highly recommend this hotel as excellent value.
