Room was clean and comfortable
However,We had bad experiences, first the internet was out an entire day, no urgency from the resort to get ir restored, seems like it’s a common thing.
For my transportation to the airport it took the front desk 45 minutes to let the driver in the premises, because safety reasons, I had to personally go down to the lobby to beg them to let the driver in.
The resort is too big and too much walking which I didn’t mind it’s a nice place to walk around, except when you’re trying to find the restroom closest to the restaurants. Which takes me to my final and worst complaint, food poisoning, I was sick for 5 days from eating at the buffet, no plastic gloves provided, hand sanitizer or nearby washrooms
A few employees/staff were gracious and helpful but the majority of them were kind of rude
My first time at a Riu hotel with high expectations, most likely the last one, other cheaper resorts just as good but woth nicer people and less rules with transportation rules
