The property was gorgeous and lots to do and animations for the kids. We all had a great time. The Santa coming on a boat to the resort and handing gifts to every single children was a nice touch. Friendly staff and all multilingual. Not pushy like other timeshare resorts.

The staff were kind. The food was terrible and we felt very segregated because every excursion we were left out of most conversations because we were the only English speakers.

Viva Palace is beside Viva Beach hotel so that you can walk the charming treed walkway between the two properties. Both sites have nightly entertainment - singers, dancing and theatre from 8 to midnight with s disco after hours. International clientele and lots of young families. All sorts of shaded and sunny beach sites. Finally beach is located in a calm bay so lots of ppl in the water all day long.

Food buffets were excellent and we felt like there was variety each day. The pizzeria was an unexpected surprise, freshly baked in a hearth oven best I've had in years. Beaches and pools were enjoyable, especially the activities in the plaza, the infinity pool. Crepe bar was very good. Many activities all day. Friendly staff and guests. Weather was great. Family friendly. We used talixo from and to the airport. Would definitely return. This was our first all inclusive.

Everything was ok, except the water. Me my wife and my friends got a stomach problem. We used a bottle water for drink, but for ice and clean fruits and vegetables they use regular water. Food was excellent

I need to warn other people before they make the same mistake we did. We booked two rooms for seven people, including my parents, who are 83, 72, and 66 years old, and two children, ages 10 and 11. We paid around $2,400 for just two nights, and I can honestly say this resort has been a huge disappointment. The food is absolutely horrible. We have not had one good meal since we arrived. I have been traveling to the Dominican Republic since the early 2000s, and I have never stayed at a resort where I felt like my family was actually going to be hungry because the food was so bad. The restaurants that have the better reviews are all booked. The only reservation we were able to get was at 9:45 PM, which is ridiculous when you have elderly parents who are ready to go to bed at that time. So basically, you are stuck with the terrible buffet. To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi barely works or doesn't work at all. The front desk staff has not been helpful at all. I even contacted Expedia to complain and try to get help, and unbelievably, even Expedia could not get in touch with the hotel. The common areas are not very clean either. For what this resort charges, I expected much better. Please don’t come here.

The hotel really needs to be remodeled ..everything is very out dated and food in the buffet was not good at all. Has the oriental restaurant and the Italian and thank god we could at least eat that. The options for breakfast were not good at all.

Very disappointing stay at Viva Dominicus Palace. Our stay there was one of the most frustrating resort experiences we've ever had. Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived and we waited hours after check-in. We reserved a room with two beds for our kids and a king for us, but were shown incorrect rooms. After promising a fix, the manager was never available, and the replacement room was a downgrade. The front desk blamed Expedia rather than helping. Communication was difficult. Very few staff spoke enough English to assist, and some seemed to stop understanding when we had problems. The buffets had no air conditioning, and even our room never cooled properly. Wi-Fi was advertised resort-wide but only worked in the lobby. Promises to fix it went nowhere. The food was repetitive and low quality. A la carte was Inconsistent One good night followed by bad service, tiny portions, and seating issues. We were even left outside in the rain while indoor tables sat empty. On departure day the bellman who confirmed pickup never showed. We carried our bags ourselves. A few staff were kind, but they were the exception. We left feeling stressed out and we wouldn't recommend it.
