Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico

"The resort was beautiful, featuring bungalow-style accommodations, multiple on-site restaurants, three pools, and direct beach access. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the stay. One drawback was the cost. Unlike many Hilton-brand properties, the reservation did not include complimentary breakfast. Guests must either purchase a meal package in advance or pay for breakfast daily. While the breakfast buffet was extensive and excellent in quality, it could become quite expensive. Another consideration is the resort’s location. It is approximately a 10-minute drive from the main road, making it somewhat isolated from nearby shops and attractions. The most significant issue occurred during checkout. The resort had recently implemented a new system integration, but the registration staff appeared to have received little or no training on the process. As a result, checkout took nearly an hour, and the lines became so long that some guests who checked close to the flight departure risked missing their flights. Overall, the resort offered an excellent experience, but the high costs, secluded location, and lengthy checkout process kept it from being a perfect 5 out of 5."

"We stayed for a few nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort grounds are spacious, so it never felt overcrowded. There are several dining options on the property, which was very convenient. However, if you'd like to explore restaurants or attractions outside the resort, you'll need a car, as there isn't much within walking distance. The location is excellent for visiting places like El Yunque National Forest and Luquillo Beach, both of which are only about a 10–15 minute drive away. The resort offers several pools to choose from, but the pool with the waterslide and splash zone is by far the most popular. If you'd like to secure a lounge chair, it's best to arrive early. The rooms were clean, updated, and featured very comfortable beds. My only significant concern was the lack of soundproofing between rooms. The walls are extremely thin, making it easy to hear conversations and other noise from neighboring rooms. In addition, the connecting door between our room and the adjacent room only had a single door instead of the typical double-door design. Because of this, we could see into the neighboring room through the gap around the door as guests walked by, which felt uncomfortable and raised privacy and security concerns. Overall, this is a great resort for families with children, especially those looking for a convenient location, multiple dining options, and plenty of activities on the property."

"The hotel garden and outdoor area was beautiful!! I didn’t see any staff while we were staying there and rooms don’t get cleaned during the day but besides that the location was perfect and the breakfast station was amazing. The hammocks near the pool felt like a sanctuary. Could relax out there all day."

"This resort is absolutely stunning. It feels like you are in a private oasis! We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom casitas which was awesome! We lost power one night for about 4 hours but I think that is fairly common anywhere on the island. The Coqui water park was fantastic. There are several restaurants and pools all over the resort. My only small complaint would be the time it takes to get your food whether it be room service or at a restaurant. Just be prepared to wait over an hour. But other than that we will definitely be back!!!"
