"​Subject: A peaceful and beautifully maintained riverside escape ​We had a very pleasant stay at Rio Verde. If you are looking for a tranquil getaway, this is a wonderful choice. ​The Highlights: ​Serene Atmosphere: The area is incredibly peaceful, and having the river running directly behind the property added a lovely, calming soundtrack to our stay. ​Stunning Grounds: It is clear that a lot of care goes into the property; the grounds are beautifully curated and a joy to walk through. ​Excellent Communication: We experienced a short power outage during our visit, but the hotel staff handled it perfectly. Their communication was proactive and excellent, which made the minor inconvenience much easier to manage. ​Overall, a lovely experience. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!"

"The room was absolutely lovely and restful. The hotel is very very nice and had a warm and relaxing feel to it. Old world elegance is the term I would use. We had breakfast and dinner at the Tach restaurant. The breakfast was very good with a varieties of choices and very farm to table. The dinner was excellent. Staff always friendly and attentive. The bar is especially charming and made a mean whisky sour. Loved the fireplaces for a cosy nightcap. All in all, a very pleasant stay. The only recommendation? Perhaps be the first luxury hotel to offer excellent decaf coffee. "

"Location was nice, convenient to catch local buses and tours and restaurants. Rooftop patio beautiful but it gets locked at night so you can't watch the stars. Water is hot, beds comfy, room was a good size. Noise travels, bring earplugs if light sleeper. No general place to check in with person, so need to read the signs on wall to be able to get wifi and message to checkin. Easy to miss when you are exhausted after travel. But owners very lovely and helpful with ideas on what to do."

"Outstanding property! The bungalow was impeccable, spacious rooms, a peaceful outdoor sitting area with spectacular views. It’s a bit out of the way, it’s a 5 mins taxi ride from the city and a 25 mins walk… (the hotel is up a steep hill so it’s fun to “walk down” to the city, but walking “back up” is a workout!!! ). The staff are helpful and attentive. Niurka, the property manager, is a great asset, she patient, resourceful, gracious, she made sure our stay was top notch. We will return!"
