"Set in a quiet village centre; this hotel was just lovely. A warm welcome from the host, who explained everything about the room and gave me pointers to all the restaurants/bars nearby. Comfy bed, lovely shower and bath, Nespresso machine, smart TV which also had BBC 1/2/News for us travelling from the UK. I travelled to the country by train and there is an excellent bus service from Amsterdam to Monnickendam; where it's about a 10 minutes walk to the hotel. No need for cash as they take contactless/apple pay/gpay and the Amsterdam Regional Ticket which covers the buses,trams,metro,and local rail services. The continental breakfast was good. For me, this was the perfect, affordable and peaceful hotel away from the hustle, bustle, prices and chaos of Amsterdam City Centre I would definitely stay here again."

"This is a lovely hotel surrounded by green open spaces. The hotel is newly refurbished so all furnishing in the public areas and the room we stayed in are new. The restaurant serves a beautiful buffet style breakfast and serves a basic but wholesome menu for lunch and dinner. Food quality is excellent and the staff extremely kind and attentive. Plenty of parking is available but to go to central Amsterdam, the bus is the best choice. The stop is less than 100 meters away and takes you directly to Amsterdam central. The villages of Volendam and Edam al almost within walking distance. "

"The stay was pleasant! Only major problem is with the washroom. Only 2 washrooms shared with 40+ people. That is very unreasonable. Everything else was perfect "

"This hotel was in a unique location. The streets are guarded by timed entry, which made it confusing to get to the parking. The hotel staff was helpful with this experience. The breakfast was quite costly for typical offerings, but the setting was very elegant. The bed was comfortable and clean. "
