"Greatly exceeded my expectations. Not fancy but has everything you need to really feel like you are at a resort even though you are only on Lake Erie. Beds are so soft. Balcony overlooking Lake Erie is a nice touch
Nice little coffee shop.
Great tiki bar with amazing bartenders.
Rent golf cars right on premises.
So close to downtown you could easily walk it unless you want to explore. Then get a cart.
Great family weekend getaway with older teenagers. We all had a blast. "

"Check in was quick and easy. The staff member who checked me in (I forget his name; he was young with brown hair, a beard and nice smile) was very friendly. The room was nice with a full size fridge/freezer combo, microwave and coffee maker. The beds were very comfortable with fluffy pillows (I always need fluffy pillows when I sleep). The pool was normal sized and my son and I had it all to ourselves when we went to it. It was a little dirty with leaves and other debris floating and at the bottom of the pool. Even though the page says no breakfast, there was coffee and mini muffins in the lobby. Check out process was quick and easy as well. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a place to stay in Sandusky close to Cedar Point."

Our recent stay at Breaks was absolutely fantastic, and we can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the truly excellent staff. Every interaction was met with genuine warmth, professionalism, and a clear desire to ensure we had a wonderful visit. Their attentiveness truly made a difference.
The food options at the hotel were a highlight, offering a delicious and varied selection that catered to all tastes. We particularly appreciated Starbucks in the morning
The hotel's location was also ideal, providing early access to the park. It served as the perfect base for our adventures.
And finally, a special shout-out to the pool – it was an absolute clutch during the storms! While the weather outside was a bit unpredictable, having such a well-maintained and enjoyable pool area allowed us to continue relaxing and having fun, regardless of the rain. It truly saved the day!
Overall, our experience was exceptional. We left feeling refreshed and incredibly satisfied, largely due to the outstanding staff, superb dining, convenient location"

"Hotel was convenient and clean. For tall people the showers are A+ with the shower head extra high. Same owners as the Commodore which is where the pool pictures are from. This is deceiving if you don't know. We knew. "

"We booked the comfort suite and had a wonderful stay! The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The property was spacious and clean. The location was perfect. We walked to everything downtown within minutes, yet had a quiet retreat at the end of the day. The patio had beautiful views of the lake and Perry’s Monument to enjoy our morning coffee."
