"The staff were friendly and the rooms were very clean, comfortable and quiet. The temperature in the rooms was good, but it should be noted that our stay was in the early spring where neither heating nor air conditioning was needed, but I imagine it would be fairly hot in the summer as the windows in the rooms are quite small.
The parking was good and simple, plenty of spaces, easy to find. The check in and check out procedures were easy as well.
There were a few disappointing aspects about our stay. The most prominent being the breakfast situation. When we booked, it was inferred that there was a continental breakfast with option to upgrade to a cooked breakfast for a further fee. During our stay, we went down to breakfast at about 7.15, pretty close to the start of the breakfast service. The only options available were stale bread for toasting, tea, coffee, and room temperature yoghurt. When we asked about upgrading to a cooked breakfast, we were told that the kitchen was closed.
I would strongly argue that this does not represent a continental breakfast, and we were very disappointed as the hotel was located quite rurally so there were no other options for breakfast and it did impact our plans. Perhaps it should be renamed as 'complimentary breakfast'.
The other small matters was that the bathroom in the room had not been restocked of toilet paper or soap in the dispensers.
To future visitors: you will have a restful night, but bring your own food and soap."
