The property is older, but the room was cozy, clean and well-designed. The provided breakfast was quite good, and I appreciated the availability of different syrups to use in my morning latte. We enjoyed staying here and would stay here again if we're ever in the area!

Beautiful and cozy with superb customer service

One of our favorite stays during our trip to Germany, this quaint cottage was cozy and surrounded by the most amazing views. The front desk service was absolutely the best and very warm and welcoming. Next time we visit Berchtesgaden, this will be our first choice for accommodations

Had a great 4 night stay. Room was clean, breakfast was delicious. Staff was also super nice. Even a little sunroom area with stocked fridge, beer, pop water etc on the honour system. Location was perfect. Hiking right across the street and also a very good restaurant a 5 minute walk away. 10 minute drive to the Koenigssee and Berchtesgaden. Would definitely stay here again.

We went here for our road-trip through Germany. The guy in the reception, Igor took well care of us! He was super kind about the breakfast and we liked it so much that we went back for another night. Close by was also a big river that went down the hills. If you stay here you must visit this river that is only on the other side of the main road.

Perfect experience.

We only stayed at Pension Bergbach for 1 night, and I loved it so much I asked about extending our stay. The hostess was so friendly and sweet. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to choose from. Everything was fresh and displayed beautifully. They have a little fridge for drinks after hours and coffee and tea 24-7. The room had an absolutely stunning view of the mountains and it was so nice to relax on the porch. The room was clean and comfortable. We were excited to stay in one of the classic style Alpine buildings. The roof was sloped and the stairs were beautiful and old, but with fresh light paint. The only thing we were worried about was the hot weather since there is no air conditioning, but we left the windows and door open to air out the room while we relaxed on the porch and the room was comfortable all night. The hotel was very quiet. We didn’t hear anyone in the room, but we saw other guests at breakfast. In the morning we spent about an hour hiking up to the falls and back. It was beautiful (there is a 4 euro token required per person up in the state park). There are 2 restaurants that we saw within walking distance. There are banks and shops within 5-10 minute drive.

Nette kleine Pension, gute Ausgangslage für entsprechende Ausflüge, die Wimbachklamm ist zu Fuß erreichbar, Salzbergwerk unter 15 Minuten per Auto, Königssee ca. 15 Minuten per Auto - gerne beim nächsten Mal wieder!

Gjorde ett stopp för natten här. Charmigt ställe. Trevlig personal. Rum högst upp med snedtak och små fönster utan utsikt men ändå charmigt. Bekväm säng, bra dusch. Frukosten var ok. Restaurang/bar var stängd, men de hade nån sorts självbetjäning där man kunde skriva upp hur många öl man drack.

Wir kamen spät an, trotzdem wurde für unseren Aufenthalt alles angangiert. Schlüssel Safe sowie Getränke zur Selbstbedienung. Zimmer war Top. Nur das WLAN war wie Fort Knox gesichert. Mehrere Passwörter sollte man eingaben, aber trotzdem bekamen wir keinen Empfang. Es gab sogar für unseres E-Auto 3 Wallboxen zum Laden. Was alles getopt hat war das Frühstücks Buffet. Reichhaltig und vedammt Gut!

Die Pension Bergbach ist für einen Wanderurlaub sehr geeignet. Man kann für den Preis keinen Luxus erwarten, das ist auch nicht geboten. Für uns war und ist wichtig, dass die Unterkunft sauber ist und das Frühstück gut und frisch ist. Beides war gegeben. Das Bett war sehr bequem, auch wenn das Zimmer relativ klein war (für den Preis aber auch echt okay). Hervorzuheben ist, dass die Bettwäsche und auch die Handtücher wirklich gut gerochen haben. Da wird voraussichtlich immer noch selbst gewaschen. Parkplätze gibt es direkt vor der Haustür, Kaffee und Tee sind tanztäglich kostenlos (haben wir aber nicht genutzt). Das Personal bzw. der Chef war höflich, zuvorkommend und nett. Alles in allem ein für den Preis echt akzeptables Hotel.
