"We had a seaview room that had a great view with a coffee table and two chairs in the window, but in general the room was a bit tired with flaking paint and the like.
The shower was good. Sink taps only just reached the bowl. Toilet ok but seat was a bit loose and was dirty. However, after telling reception it was cleaned immediately and properly too. Bath sides clad in ply wood. My wife ahad previously stayed in the atrium rooms which she thought were better, whilst not having that view. Car parking is very tight but we managed to find a space every night."
"Not the most attractive building but very pleasant inside. The restaurant was closed but we ate in the bar which was good. The service was a bit disjointed - perhaps new staff? The pool was very cold which was disappointing. Great location for visiting the island. "
"My group and I had perhaps the best hotel experience we’ve ever had at The Devonian. I cannot say enough good words about how welcoming, friendly and helpful the staff (owner?) was. From arriving early morning and being able to put our bags in one of the rooms despite check in being hours later, to providing really helpful advice on navigating the bus strikes, just utterly exemplary.
The hotel itself was beautiful, well kept, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I can’t fault it and would return without question if we ever go back to the Isle of Man. "
