Location is not the most convenient, it's along the main road in middle Pelling, the restaurants tend to be more in upper Pelling although all hotels have their own restaurants. "Chumbi resort location is such that from our room 1009 lying down in the bed you could see the 1st rays of son faliing on the mighty Kanchenjhonga the 3rd tallest mountain in the world. Surrounding natural beauty is at its best from Chumbi Resort. Ambience,Staff, Room quality, food and overall service was exceptional and would ask nature lovers to opt for this one and not in the cluster of hotels in Pelling Bazaar area. Simply superb."

The staff is incompetent and except a very few they do not pay any attention to the customer's needs. For every room service (water, towel etc.) one needs to call up the reception multiple times.
