Great location for the Thames path and the Ridgeway. Good food at a reasonable price. Breakfast good but smaller than other similar places which makes a difference before a day on the trails.

The Bull Inn Streatley

The two of us really enjoyed our stay last weekend. Good service. Staff are friendly. We were very satisfied with the food including our full cooked breakfasts and BBQ on the Saturday. Overall we were very pleased with the accomodation and facilities. The room and ensuite bathroom were clean. A good location. There are a couple of nearby pubs and restaurants over the bridge which is a lovely short 5 to 10 minutes walk away. Places nearby to visit: 1.8 miles is Beale Park and 5 miles away is the stately Englefield House. We would stay and eat here again. We recommend it.

Breakfast was poor, no cereals or fruit, manager took cooked breakfast order delivered it and disappeared so no chance of moor tea etc Staff were friendly and location was good

For the price very good with friendly service and decent size rooms with good amenities - what yuou would expect. My only complaint was breakfast as one sausage and one bacon slice a cooked breakfast does not make - need at least two slices bacon to qualify for me. BUT they were friendly and brought extra toast on request without any issues.

The Bull is in an excellent location but could certainly do with a lick of paint as the décor is somewhat dull and dingy. Room 2, where is stayed, is very dated and the washbasin and toilet looked like they hadn't been properly cleaned for quite a long time. The staff, however, were very cheery and efficient.

Room was ok but needs refreshing - especially bathroom. Some mould round bath, sink had not been cleaned very well. Mattress was lumpy but one side was ok. Service & food were good.

Great value character pub room on Ridgeway

A great pub with good value rooms. Don't expect Premier Inn style, rather recognise it is an old traditional building, where rooms fit the books and crannies of such. Superb service, great landlord, Marsden pub food, with deals on every evening. Bed was comfortable, room slightly tired looking but more than adequate. Shower was good, but do take own shower gel, shampoo as none normally provided. Breakfast was good, and set us up for the walking the Ridgeway. Sure we could have stayed at higher end hotels nearby but they'd have cost twice as much, and what we needed was a bed, breakfast, and value for money food, with good drinks. It is a good value for money stopover on the Ridgeway.

Goring weekend

The hotel is in a good position, good car parking, pleasant young staff. The accommodation is a row of 6 external attached cabins, separate from the hotel. Access to the hotel is a gravel path at the back of the hotel, leading to steep steps down to the bar, with a cold old iron handrail with no way of gripping to prevent a hand sliding if the rail was wet, ? health and safety! I washed my hands before eating the rather minimal breakfast. I would not stay there again, see below. ( There are 2 Aldi squirty hand wash/ bath/shower containers but no small bar of soap or other toiletries.) Money needs spending on the building and facilities to match the high quality of the Staff.

On the Ridgeway

We were walking the Ridgeway and The Bull is ideally placed as it is exactly on the route. We were immediately shown to our chalet type room which is situated to the side of the beer garden. After refreshing ourselves we enjoyed a very reasonably priced meal. Service was good and staff were very pleasant and attentive. After a sound sleep we had an English breakfast which was included in the price. Our stay was good value for money and l would definitely recommend it to Ridgeway walkers

Surprisingly good sized room and really clean.

A good sized room, clean and well set out. The location in Streatley and close to the River Thames was also great. Staff were very friendly and totally accommodating. We will stay in the future.
