"I flew from USA to spend a vacation time with my wife and my 15 months old daughter at Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna and when I came to the hotel, the standard of the room provided doesn't meet any 5-star hotel expectations at all. The room is very poorly furnished. The furniture is very old and rotten. It's not clean. It doesn't have any soap or kits at the restroom vanity. The vanity is only single sink with poor broken wooden base. The AC is not properly working as it freezes you up with its massive cold air no matter how low or high you adjust it. It just blows high flow of air even when you put it in a low with a rattling sound all night. The sheets are not clean, the carpet is horrible and dirty with stains which is not appropriate to let my baby crawl on. The heater is not working. the quality of the room doesn't meet any inhabitable hotel standard. I had to call Expedia and cancel the stay on the spot to move to another hotel the next morning. I would not even spend the night in such a place but everywhere else was fully booked so i had to sacrifice this night till sunrise to move out. Not recommended at all."

"We are here for the 12th time and it's amazing as usual: food is tasty and varied, a lot of fruit and vegetables, different kinds of meat , fish and seafood. Stuff is always friendly and helpful, rooms are clean. Sandy beach, rich coral reef and not windy location."

"Overall the hotel was amazing and the staff went out of the way to make you feel welcome, my only suggestion would be a better selection of snacks, the food was limited to the same thing and the food was like warm, other than that I was over the moon with the hotel "

" Merveilleuses vacances au bord de la mer Rouge Nous avons passé, mon épouse et moi, un séjour exceptionnel dans cet hôtel. Tout était parfait du début à la fin. L’établissement est magnifique, les chambres sont spacieuses, très confortables et disposent même d’une petite cour intérieure bien protégée, idéale lorsqu’il y a du vent. Le personnel est remarquable : toujours souriant, attentionné et soucieux du bien-être des clients. Un grand merci à Monsieur Pappu pour la qualité du restaurant : la cuisine est excellente et nous avons dîné avec plaisir chaque soir. Mention spéciale également à Monsieur Maher Sadek pour l’organisation d’une superbe surprise à l’occasion de nos 30 ans de mariage — un moment inoubliable. La plage est très grande, avec des espaces bien aménagés et suffisamment espacés pour se sentir à l’aise. Les amateurs de plongée seront ravis : un magnifique spot avec un jardin de corail se trouve à proximité. Félicitations aussi à Ahmed Nagy pour la gestion irréprochable de cet hôtel. Nous recommandons cet établissement à 100 % et espérons revenir bientôt"

"The hotel was spotlessly clean, private beach was beautiful. Staff in the whole were very good, polite and helpful. My only criticism were I did see one bar staff mocking a customer, and the pool attendants did nothing about people leaving towels on loungers for hours, despite mentioning in the hotel rules that unattended towels would be removed. One day at the adult pool we were told we couldn’t have a parasol because they were all being used, but 5 of them were with unattended towels for people should didn’t return for over an hour. Food is not labelled for allergens. This meant asking the staff every time, who were helpful but at times unsure and when asked if something had milk in a response was “maybe”. They did offer to cook something fresh but this isn’t what you pay for all inclusive for. Choice is expected. Otherwise the hotel was beautiful and guests were well catered for with activities, food and drink"
