Ramon's Village Resort
10/10 Excellent
"The property is like being in a bit of an oasis. My daughter (22+ years old) loved their pool. The staff is super friendly. We had 2 days of no power in the evening, I provided some feedback and they immediately addressed it, providing an electric fan and also comped us for 2 nights. That was very nice of them. They don't have a lot of amenities on the property, 1 restaurant, coffee bar and no hard alcohol. That's okay as its pretty close to the town for other restaurants and bars, and they don't have a problem if you BYOB. They also have a pretty big dock, with scuba and snorkeling activities, daily. Don't expect to walk into the ocean from the beach, there is alot of sargassum everywhere but that's pretty standard in the area. They do a good job cleaning it up at the resort. There is a platform at the end of the dock you can swim off of and do some snorkeling. I saw a stingray my first day there and others told me there were some barracudas in the area too. There are some nice colorful fish around too. They also rent golf carts but we found it cheaper at places in town. The staff is wonderful and super helpful. It was off season when we went, so not that many people around."

"The location was right on the water. Though no beach, just boat docks, restaurants, etc. The restaurant at the hotel was wonderful. Everything we had was very good. The prices were good. The selection of items was massive. We were just down the street (short walk) from two grocery stores. The large frigerators and freezers down in the common area were great to keep things in. Our room did have a smaller frigerator with a litte freezer. The common seating area was spacious. There were rockers, chairs, tables and a very good breeze coming into the covered area. The staff was exceptional! They were so helpful and nice. The few items that we did not care for was the lack of sitting spaces in our room. Only the two beds in the room. We did have a balcony with a small table and two chairs. It seemed a bit odd to not have any chairs in the room. Also, the storage in the room was very limited. There was a column rack; however it was not very sturdy. For us being a bit older the steps seemed like a lot. We were on floor 2. The pool was on floor 4. The steps would fine for younger healthy people. There were railings for the stairs. Overall, the hotel was great, good location. If we were younger, we would stay there again."

"Staff was great and the location next to Ramon's where we diving couldn't have been better. Decor is a bit dated and tired, but was sufficient for our trip. The bathroom door stuck on the floor frequently which made it loud to close at times. We also had them facilitate a cart rental from Carts Belize which was of great help. Unfortunately the cart was terrible to drive with incredibly stiff steering and almost nonexistent headlights for night driving."

"I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews. I recently stayed here and had a really good experience. The staff were very friendly and room was very well cleaned. The only issue I noticed was the noise but I went there during the lobster fest and the lobster fest happens right outside the hotel, directly across from it on the other street. The other similar issue reported by people has been the ocean views. I feel like some of the photos are deceiving, but from where this hotel is located at, you can't really see the ocean from the rooms. Wi-Fi was decent, and the staff were very accommodating along with the golf cart rentals being reasonably priced. If you're looking for a place in the heart of downtown San Pedro, this is a good affordable spot. Don't expect nothing five star as the price reflects that obviously but it's not a terrible spot like most reviews on here are claiming."

"This property was simply amazing. It was nice quiet tucked away but not to far from the party. The property staff were amazing from the time I booked until the time we departed. They assisted us to back and forth to beach complementary a back and forth to the water taxi to go on our excursions. The rooms were gorgeous just as advertised and very spacious. I will definitely be bringing my family back to just stay here and enjoy Belize."
