"We are so glad we found this delightful place to stay for a few days on our trip across Europe. The hotel is cozy and personal with unique items found in nooks throughout.
Our room was large, clean, comfortable and included all the essentials. A table with seating for four was a bonus. It wasn’t the season to sit on the balcony but the view out over the valley and mountains was matchless.
Our host was friendly and conversational. He gave us good recommendations about the area.
Breakfast was home made and excellent including breads with homemade jam, meat, cheese, fruit, tomatoes, cereal, yoghurt and quark, tea, cappuccino and juice. Tea, coffee and fruit were always available.
The hotel is under renovation so is a bit rough around the edges in some places. That in no way interfered with the enjoyment of our stay. "
"Staff was outstanding. I’d like to mention the little lady at breakfast. She was so pleasant and nice to talk to. Another lady who stood out was the blonde lady at dinner who was very attentive and friendly! And the young man who helped us in the mornings since he spoke English the best. Thank you!"
"Our stay was three days, the staff were friendly and very helpful from the moment we arrived.
The pool and spa areas were superb, and having Black Forest Gateaux with a pot of tea by the pool was not something we expected to be able to do - but very memorable.
The breakfast was epic, it’s plain to see how very proud the chefs are, and this is reflected in the quality and range of breakfast items available.
We had guest e bikes (at no charge) we explored the local forest area, this made the hills very easy to navigate - the bikes were of excellent quality. "
"The spa was a nice surprise, great pool. The rooms was huge, but no aircon, so very warm in the summer. The bar was never attended, so difficult to get beverages at any time. The food was limited in choice and average quality. But the location is stunning. "
"Very friendly welcome and pleasant room. However the noise from the lift was very unwelcome and went on until midnight. We were in room 41 first after reception and also had noise from other guests as they passed our door. Otherwise a very nice hotel and lovely buffet dinner and breakfast."
