Great place to stay, super helpful (and humorous) information package. We only stayed one night but highly recommend for anyone spending consecutive nights in town.
Nice upstairs of the condo, making a great guesthouse. Really steep stairs to gain access to rooms. Bedroom was clean and spacious, there was even a couch in ours. Location was a 40 minute walk into downtown or host mentioned a bus line not too far which may have taken 18 minutes. I would suggest driving since parking is not a problem in the city. Nice neighborhood with minimal noise.
Not worth the price, but as it was New Year's Eve there was literally no other hotels under $600/night available so we paid the $390 for a small room in Town House. The owner is very nice, welcoming, accommodating. She gave us recommendations of where to go, let us check out late, and was just lovely. The room was simple, clean but didn't have a furnished balcony as advertised. Wifi cut out a lot. The bathroom was shared between 3 rooms but everyone was out for NYE so it wasn't an issue. Shower looked a bit dingy so we didn't use it. There is a small kitchen which was a nice touch but, again, we didn't use it. Overall our stay was fine- we really wanted a place close to downtown and since we didn't plan ahead, it was the best we could do. The worst part about the stay was that the owner only takes cash- no credit card, no online payment. We had to find an ATM and find a card that would work with it. She was very apologetic and told us that she has been trying to get Hotels.com to update her profile to reflect her payment method.
In summary, great location, great host, over-priced (maybe it was just the holiday), and the listing needs updating to reflect the room amenities and payment method.
Wonderful, helpful, nice owner. Was about a 20 minute walk into town but wasn't bad. Parking right outside. The hot tub was amazing. Was quiet and didn't even notice other guests. Full stock kitchen for cooking. Just wish the bedroom had mirrors.
Room was perfect for what we needed and Harpa was a wonderful host. Very cheerful and helpful, we would have stayed more nights if we were in town for longer!
Nice bathroom and kitchen shared with others. Next door to sculpture museum and 5 minute walk to several restaurants. In residential neighborhood. 15 - 20 minute walk to city center.
Nice location in Reykjavik. Our biggest objection was no mirror in the room. The stairs to the rooms are very steep and this is not a B&B--no breakfast at all, only a small kitchen for us to make our own. I fault Expedia for this because I was trying to look only at B&Bs.
We received a warm welcome and hospitality from the host. We had a wonderful time throughout the stay, but what I would like to remind anyone who would consider staying gather is that 1) there is no elevator and 2) it takes 20-30 minutes on foot to go to the downtown area. Other than these, it was perfect! :)

Iceland stopover
We paid $120.00 to get there by taxi from the airport! Did not know this obviously. Paid more for taxi than hotel almost. The explanation for the return shuttle was unclear. Told it would be there at 12 noon. It was, however, when it took us to a bus depot I had no idea what to do! Thought the shuttle was going directly to airport, it was not. Had to buy a ticket at bus depot to take a bus to airport, had 3 minutes to get on the bus, very stressful! If this was explained it would have been less stressful. Finally, place was very comfy and cozy except the shower was very dirty.

No indoor heat in Iceland Hotelrooms all Summer?
This was a quite nice little 3-bedroom hotel, with a fully functional kitchen (no freezer). My only complaints were that I had to wait to use the toilet a few times during my stay and that the toilet/shower and also my room were too cold (10-15 degrees Celcius). In fact I came down with an 8-9 day cold after I left and moved to another hotel costing twice the amount, where the heat was not turned on either.
Basic but clean accommodation in quiet suburb of Reykjavik. Shared bathroom and kitchen area for three rooms.Harpa the owner is very helpful and there are normally basic foodstuffs to get you started.WiFi provided.10 minute walk to sea,30 minutes to city centre.Flybus will pick up and drop off to this guesthouse.
Ask for nearest Kronan supermarket for best value food.
Recommended and would not hesitate to use again.
Host was amazing and thoughtful. The room was nicely laid out. The location was within reach of route 1 that leads to most of the natural wonders Iceland has to offer. We got in a jam going to Geyser and had to stay at a hostel dokie to a snowstorm and missed a night. The room was booked for the next night. What was thoughtful and special she said if we couldn't find a place to call her and she will make sure we were taken care of. Extremely helpful. Consider this to escape the noisy weekend nightlife that occurs in the city center.
