"Started off really well. One of the people from The Crown (which is part of the same group and does amazing food? spotted us walking through town and came and helped us get in the front door. Went downhill from there. The room smelt of cigarettes when we arrive and there were burns in the carpet. The bathroom was filthy. There was a layer of dirt all over the floor, to the point that I thought maybe it was the cover of the floor to start with, until I realised the white bits of floor behind the bath were still white, so it was definitely dirt. Loose bits all over it as well. Bath hadn’t been cleaned and there was dirt in the overflow waste hole on the sink. Bedding and towels were very clean luckily. Tried calling but no answer. Spoke to someone in the morning and they said the manager would contact me but they haven’t. Could’ve really lovely if they sort out the cleaning"

"The parking is great. Been here many times it is out standing. The place so clean the host is so welcoming. And always time for a chat and so help ful. Everything you need hair dryer too exceptional. Breakfast is exceptional to every choice avalible cant fault the Horseshoe guest house will be back x"

"Lovely cottage. Everything was clean, fresh and warm. The welcoming basket was a nice suprise. Car parking was on site and very convenient location to the town. Will be returning to this little gem. Thank you. "

"The main bed was very nice, but the bunk bed my adult son had to sleep in was a little uncomfortable and we had no bedding just pillows and a quilt with no covers - i did text them at least a week before to enquire as i said my adult son was coming but heard nothing, we also only had 2 towels for 3 adults but dont take anything away from this stunning property, in a stunning location with an amazing hot tub - we had an issue the last night where the washer on the tap broke in the kitchen, so we had no water to wash up, make tea/coffee and had to use bathroom water if we needed it (it was about 7pm and they did text back and said would it be ok to come tomorrow)"

"Loved the hot tub amazing views out into the valley. Very quiet its on a hill so quite a walk back up hill from the town (so probably best to go equipped with the things you might need). Loved cycling elan valley which is near by."
