Grand Palace Hotel – Small Luxury Hotels of the World
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at Grand Palace Hotel was outstanding! The hotel is right in the heart of the beautiful Old Town, walkable to everything - no need for a car here. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the breakfast spread was decadent, complete with complimentary Prosecco. What was really special about the hotel was the hospitality. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had the information we needed to enjoy our stay. After we left, I discovered that I had left an item of great importance in the hotel room. I had already moved on to another country, and was panicking. The hotel promptly shipped the item back to my home in the United States at an extremely low cost. You will love your stay here!"
"Michelin rated restaurant in the hotel was excellent! Our top-floor apartment suite with kitchen was great.. staff was friendly, helpful and had great english translation skills. Hotel was thoughtfully and tastefully remodeled. modern bath, kitchen appliances.. great views of the city from the 6th floor. Only a few minor niggles to keep from getting 5 stars: many Bolt drivers stopped pickup/dropoff right at the hotel entrance due to location on the old narrow cobble stone street.. wanted to pick us up in spots couple hundred feet away with easier street access. Being at top floor, the bath off of the bedroom has sloped ceiling.. compromised the head clearance for the tub/shower and couldn't install a mirror at the sink.. hard to shave..functionality compromised.. otherwise a wonderful experience! "
"Location is great! As advertised it’s right in old town and about 7 -15 minutes away from some of the major sites. 12 minute walk to the bus that takes you to the airport. Good cafés and dining around. Staff are quite warm, particularly. Vidam (misspelled) he was quite warm and helpful and gave really great recommendations!
Hotel itself is a bit subpar -rooms are quite basic and small. Carpet quite shabby. Fitness center small but it got the job done. I’m not sure I would stay again. I would probably upgrade to something nicer. But five stars for location and staff. "
"Great location! Amazing and very helpful staff! Lovely and tasty breakfast with lots of choices! Even though the spa is very small it wasn’t crowded and we spent a fantastic hour over there. "
"Amazing location, clean and lovely rooms, great ambience and the pool and sauna phenomenal. Lots of nice bars and restaurants as well as being right at the old town."
