Visited on a Monday in February and lots of the little independent shops were closed. Would have liked to have visited the workhouse and police museums but these were also closed.

"Had a lovely stay at Novotel in York. Very clean and good standard room. Close to the centre. Only down side is, you can hear the noise from the corridor at times. Our room was next to the lift."

"From first arriving and welcome at the gates of Grantley Hall, throughout our stay we received the most excellent and friendly service. Ripon is not a place we would visit again - its a bit run down as most town centres are with loads of charity shops at least there’s a Wetherspoons on the market square for a cheap drink or 2!
