"Historic charm! This hotel has a level of charm that newer hotels don't. The lobby and other public areas are beautiful. The pool is just right. The staff is nice (but beware that valet can be a longer wait than you want). Note this reservation was for a basic room. And, the room was very basic. The bathroom is outdated - the fixtures in the shower are probably from the 1970's. Maybe a deluxe room has more updates."

"Friendly staff, however faucet was loose, shower curtain too short which wet floor after shower & last day of stay McCloud not work. If all items are fixed, I would increase my rating to five stars."

"The layout of the hotel itself is cute, tons of stairs & 1 elevator was out of order. The cleanliness was good for the most part. The restrooms are VERY small. The only problem was the metal/aluminum bed frame. My Honey & I kept slamming our toes into the bed frame and it was loud. Overall would stay again."

"The staff wad very friendly and accommodating. Even the breakfast was far better than any breakfast I've seen at other hotels. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because of the ceiling damage in the bathroom"

"I wish I would have been told prior to booking that their pool and spa was under construction. That was the whole point of my booking was so I could use the pool and spa. Let was a waste of a booking. "

"I don’t know how this hotel has a high rating, it’s in a very bad neighborhood (I think I Saw a drug deal go down in the parking lot) and the hotel is very dated. The room it shelf had a smell to it and definitely seen better days. The breakfast was okay but it could have been better. I’m not that picky of a person but I had to review this before based on the ratings/reviews this hotel should have been much better. "
