"Self catering room in cottage pie needs a renovation . The windows lead onto the street,so this would make it a security issue if one would like to sit outside. The bedroom is dark and gloomy the bathroom had a broken light. The overall facilities and the staff were very good "

Breakfast was well presented with a good variety of products. The feature I was not happy with was checking in at an alternative guest house but no directions given on where it was. We were advised it was not safe to walk after dark necessitating taxi use. Plettenberg Bay has lovely beaches which are great to stroll along."

"In general the hotel is very run down. Things falling apart and dysfunctional, including pool area and umbrellas and gardens. The resort is in desperate need of serious maintenance. Also, no wi fi in rooms for a 4 star hotel is not really acceptable. "This was misleading advertising on Hotels.com. I selected a tent with 2 queen beds and a bunk bed for about R1700. Just before we arrived I got a call from the hosts and let them know that 2 friends would arrive 30 minutes before us. I was told that I would have to pay an additional R790 for them because they charge extra each person over 2. This was not made clear on the app. This accommodation was not worth over R2,500 for the night. Unhappy guests who feel ripped off."

"This was an all around amazing experience. We stayed in the whale suite which had amazing views of ocean and cliff sides. We saw a pod of dolphins before dinner. Dinner was made there by an excellent chef. Highly recommend staying here."
