"As the self-appointed Chlorox Wipe Queen, I (Mrs. Eric) declare that I found my wipes just as white after I used them in our 4th floor room as they were when I plucked them from the packaging. As this is an older coastal property, I expect a bit of moisture-related yuck, but there was none to find. Clean as a whistle! Also, the staff has been historically very pleasant. "We have stayed at this Best Western location many times over the last 5 or 6 years, but this was our worst experience. The rooms were mostly clean. The breakfast was mostly fine. The staff was mostly friendly. The pool was not clean - as in, we couldn't swim in it - and we came during spring break. My biggest issue was with the person at the front desk when we checked in. He was friendly and professional initially. But his response when I asked"

"The shower was moldy in both rooms I was put in. The first room had one screw holding the safety latch thing on the door so they put me in another room since they had no one to put in a screw!!!! The pool to which they share with Best Western next door was ABSOLUTLY NASTY. Broken umbrellas, broken chairs and FILTHY tables where you wouldn't want to put your drink down on them. The pool looked cloudy and I wouldn't even put my big toe in it let alone my body!!! SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. I will...

"Breakfast was quite nice with a variety of hot and cold items. Loved my egg white with veggies omelette and turkey sausage. Something for everyone! "

"Parking is a bit of a nightmare after 10:00 pm. If you want parking, parking before 9:00 to ensure you have a spot. Otherwise the stay was great. Clean and the staff was very kind. The breakfast was good, really enjoyed the cinnamon roll waffles. Overall great stay. "

"The rooms were so outdated and their version of scenic view was subpar. The tub in our room was so old it had a missing part on the base. The walls were paper thin. The staff was very informative and friendly honestly, the free shuttle to and from downtown is what saved the day. I hope it gets a facelift in the very near future bc it was pretty expensive for a hotel of such quality."

"The breakfast was good, the property is a bit dated (room door sticks, broken tiles in the elevator, shower drain stop rusted out). The coffee is to weak!"

"The rooms were nice, but the TVs are very old and was hard to regulate the temperature in the room. Also, the tables and chairs in the pool area were not very clean."

"Property needs to be updated. Faucet didn't drain. Tub leaked. Carpets not clean. Receptionist was rude but some others were very nice. Location was good. Breakfast was pretty good. When we first arrived they assigned us to a room across from a room affected by an electrical fire. There was trash and blowers in the hall. They did move us but just down the hall and everything we walked to the elevator eyes watered from smoke fumes."

"Clean and quiet rooms, the staff was amazing, the location was good, food was good, and had a few drinks at the bar which was pleasant. Bartender was nice and made some good small talk."

"I made a mistake in scheduling our stay but Romona Ferrell at the front desk was extremely helpful and cordial in coming up with a solution. Staff was excellent the whole time of our stay."
