A gem in Rome

Great location near Piazza Popolo, Spanish Steps and Villa Borgese. The staff are very nice and helpful. We didn't eat at the restaurant but breakfast was expensive We would stay there again

The Hotel Dama is beautiful! The front desk staff is pleasant and helpful. Our room was lovely (though a bit inefficient for two large bags). It is also very well situated for walking to all the monuments, restaurants and shopping. We were disappointed that the onsite restaurant was Peruvian. Why, in the heart of Roma? Also, though the garden and pool area is a beautiful spot to relax, the poolside service was not good. We were overall content with our stay.

Amazing Staff, But Poor Value for the Price

I recently stayed at Palazzo Dama in Rome and was very disappointed with the value for money. The rate was close to $1,000 per night, but the experience fell far below expectations. The room was extremely small, outdated, and lacked any luxury feel — it honestly wouldn’t be worth even $100/night elsewhere. The building itself is old, narrow, and uncomfortable, and there is no parking available, which adds further inconvenience. That said, the staff were outstanding — friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind throughout our stay. Their professionalism and hospitality were the highlight of the experience and the only reason this review isn’t rated lower. They made us feel welcome and supported, even though the physical condition of the hotel didn’t meet expectations. Unfortunately, despite the beautiful photos online, the hotel doesn’t reflect a five-star experience in reality. For this price, you can find much better options in Rome.

Wonderful stay at the Palazzo Dama for my husband’s 40th. We had a junior suite which was a good size, very comfortable and immaculate. Great location and friendly, professional staff. Lovely to stay in a boutique hotel with such unique features. Felt very luxe!

Nice location but uneducated rude night staff

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Overall staff was nice but the night receptionist is extremely rude. We came back at around 2 am. He was rude and after after correcting him he became aggressive and started calling names. Went to the staff next day as we wanted to talk to the manager. Never heard back while we stayed for 1,5 day more. Rooms are nice but here and there could use an update. Iron board was completely dirty and burned.

La struttura è davvero una perla in quanto si trova nelle immediate vicinanze di piazza del Popolo e quindi di conseguenza bastano davvero 10 minuti di passeggio per ritrovarsi a piazza di spagna, via condotti ecc... Lo staff è davvero gentilissimo, particolarmente Fabrizio all'uscita e la Signora Greta. Lo consiglio vivamente come albergo, l'ambiente è magnifico, è un palazzo con un arredo fine ed elegante, soprattutto la zona della scala e la parte esterna della piscina. Nota dolente le camere a mio avviso sono davvero troppo piccole, avendo preso una junior suite al non può essere denominata tale avendo solo 25mq, di base è una camera normalissima, anzi mi viene da dire se la mia era una junior suite, le camere di categoria inferiore cosa sono?...

I usually love staying at this property but the noise from the construction of the new spa, the inattention of the staff at Pacifico ( the hotel's bar and restaurant) and the lack of cleanliness ( housekeeping) will make me rethink my options next time I come to Rome.

Really gorgeous hotel, super clean and very stylish. Lovely staff, very helpful and a great location to walk to many of the historic sites. The only disappointment is that the pool isn’t heated but I will be back. Loved it
