"DO NOT STAY if you are attending the opera or making a tourist visit to Verona. The website claims that the hotel is 'near' the Arena - 'near' means almost 1.5 km and 25 mins walk, crossing busy traffic roads. In the summer heat this is a challenge. There is NO local transport, so you taxi everywhere. ..."

"Our stay at the Hotel Firenze was excellent. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It was close to the historic part of the city, about 15 minutes from the Arena. Check in and out was very easy. Would definitely recommend staying here."
