"Absolutely loved our stay here with our two golden doodles! We were in town for our daughter’s hockey game. We stay in chain hotels most weekends snd leave our dogs home . We made a little trip out of this 2 game series and The Colonial Hotel was the perfect little getaway."

"The room was immaculate and clean. The beds were soft and the pillows were plump. There was a refrigerator but no microwave, which didn’t matter to us. Their breakfast was above average and the coffee bar was always fresh with round the clock coffee. I have nothing but good things to say about the Groton.."

"Staff was professional and friendly. The hotel was clean, My room was immaculate. I would give five stars for my stay. What I miss is the compliment breakfast. There is now a charge for breakfast. It was so nice to meet other travelers at breakfast."

"I have stayed here many times but now there seems to be no staff on site ever. This is disconcerting for a woman traveling alone. I get thet not all small hotels have staff 24/7 but I am not sure what anyone would even do if they had an issue getting into their room or some sort of emergency."
