Fabulous property in a quiet area of Rutherglen. It is a great relaxing place and Chris made us and our dogs feel very welcome. Our accommodation was super clean and well appointed. We will definitely be back.

Lovely accommodation in the heart of Rutherglen. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Welcoming committee were their three dogs. Room was large including a Lounge, bedroom and ensuite. Breakfast options were also broad.

Ian was a great host. Always there for a talk. The property is wonderful. Rooms are big and well fitted. The bed was good for me but my wife found it a bit hard. Breakfast provided was good. Thanks for a great weekend away.

The communication is A1. I asked for a early check in and it was no problem at all. The apartment was huge. It had a separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge area. The surrounding area around the property was just beautiful, with freshly mowed lawns and manicured gardens. The hosts were delightful, available for a chat, but also respected our privacy. I would give anything to stay a week here, its just beautiful. A home cooked breakfast was also provided, and it was fresh, hot and delicious. Five stars from me!

Yes, is definitely a place we will return. I usually have trouble sleeping for the first couple of nights. However, at Barkly suites apartment, I could sleep soundly for the two nights stay!. The environment is peaceful, quiet, clean, spacious and wake up early in the morning be able to see sun raises through the apartment lounge glass doors. Of course Ian and Chris cooked breakfast to start the day with and their great hospitality! A big thank you to Chris and Ian.

Spectacular accommodation

I have travelled quite a bit over the years and would have to say this is one of the best experiences, Chris was the best host ever and the apartment was to die for. I will definitely recommend this to family and friends and will be returning myself as soon as I am able too.

1 night stay for business, Chris was very welcoming, the room was amazing. Great accessability for disabled visitors, with wide doorways and massive bedrooms and bathrooms.

Chris was so warm and welcoming, made us feel like long lost friends. Very warm and cozy for a winters stay. Great big bath to to soak in after a long car drive. Gorgeous bedroom , great apartment in general- so much better than being squashed into a small bedroom. Don’t book anywhere else, perfect location for exploring the wine region and with Chris on hand to recommend local eateries etc and cooking a fantastic tasty breakfast that will keep even the hungriest travel satisfy throughout the day.

Among the best

We stayed at Barkly suites for two nights at the end of our 7 week road trip. Definitely among the best accomodation in that time. Friendly hosts , comfy and clean spacious units. All that and a hearty breakfast also. Located in a peaceful part of town yet close enough to the shops and wineries. Would highly recommend staying here if visiting Rutherglen.
