"Backyard Balangoda provides a great Sri Lankan experience, complete with a very friendly dog named Bruno! The incredibly kind owner made sure we had a wonderful stay, sharing interesting information about local life and tasty food. "La Pentera is a unique property and it is conveniently located around 30 minutes drive to the entrance of the Udawalawe National Park. Our host is very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond our expectations and making sure we have the best time in the property. The evening walk around the lake area is awesome, and the hammocks, swings and mini rock climb is nice too. We had our best Sri Lankan cuisine in this resort, the chicken curry is full of flavours and spices. Definitely recommend...

"This was an experience like no other, an amazing location. These are eco-lodges, so they are basic, if you want 5* luxury this isn't for you, but you'd be missing out. The views are amazing, sitting on the balcony looking out to the lake in the distance. Everything is taken care of, you have torches and umbrellas. You are so far from anyone else it is lovely and quiet (apart from the wildlife!) We always had hot water from the solar panels. The bathroom was clean but basic. Food was great,...
