Hotel Rural El Marqués

Hotel Rural El Marqués
3.0 star property
Saldana
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (22)
"This is a plesant hotel in the old city with many options for food & drinks although not alwayas open (in May) when needed. The main problem was getting in: although a pleasant reception exists, when we arrived, no-one was there just a message on the door with spanish phone numbeerst to call, but without the international code. We were rescued by a fellow guest who was able to call the number and get instructions, but it was pretty frustrating. After that all was well."

What is a historic hotel like in Sahagun?
A guest who chooses a historic hotel has the chance to stay in a building officially recognised with a historic designation. Historic hotels throughout the world can be castles, stately homes, palaces or even pubs, lodges, old police stations or skyscrapers — any building that's been identified as being of special interest. These types of hotels in Sahagun often retain original characteristics such as period features or traditional architecture in guestrooms or communal spaces.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
The two are similar. The term "historic hotel" is more common in the U.S., whereas "heritage hotel" is common in Asia and Europe. Historic hotels tend to emphasise the building and architecture itself. A heritage hotel draws meaning mainly from the cultural value that the place has and how it shaped the community.
