"A lovely, historic country house hotel, with a peaceful terrace and garden, on a hillside overlooking a beautiful Auvergne landscape. Just an overnight stay but we would all have been happy to stay longer. We were greeted in the beautiful reception area by Fréderic, who couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. Although the building is old, there is a lift, so having rooms on the first or second floor is not a problem for people with limited mobility. The rooms were clean and adequate but perhaps not of the standard suggested by the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was generous and of excellent quality and was served in the hotel dining room We had dinner at the restaurant in the adjacent spa building - which the hotel emphasised is a separate entity - and weren’t particularly impressed."
"Really warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Excellent breakfast arrangement, perfect for us. Very enjoyable dinner. Beautiful location. Room quiet, clean and comfortable."
"Stunning old country house with beautiful rooms and grounds. Dog friendly and dinner available with advanced booking. We had a delicious and reasonably priced dinner in the garden. It was very peaceful and a special experience to savour."
"The hotel is quite well-named; it really feels like the end of the world. Their dinner menu with a 17-euro three-course meal, aperitifs at 2.5 euros and a 50cl carafe of very drinkable wine at 6 euros made the place feel like a steal. HIghly recommended?"
"Amazing location and hotel. The best room so far in all our trip to Europe. The pool was more than welcome with the heatwave in France! Great supper too. View to the viaduct built by Eiffel."
