"Lovely hotel with shops and places to visit nearby. Small things like have a space specifically for guests to hang out or read etc separate to people using restaurant and bar would improve stay. "

"Parking was easy being right outside the property.
A lovely lady called us to check our arrival time as we had booked an evening meal and the last order time was 8pm and she didn't want us to miss out.
We had a lovely evening meal, with it being their weekly Pie night it really hit the spot after a long journey!
Our room was very spacious and extremely comfortable too.
There were lots breakfast options and what we both had was delicious.
We will definitely return as this place is a real gem. And being centrally located for visiting family, the Yorkshire dales and the Lake District the location is perfect."
"Staff were kind and friendly. Food was good in the bar but over priced.
My room was grubby, the bedding and bathroom were clean but there was dust and dirt on the ledges and windowsills. No shower gel in the bathroom either. I was also above the kitchen there was lots of banging about outside and a constant humming/droning from what sounded like extractor fans. This did stop around 9pm but then started up again at 10pm. It was really quite loud, I could still hear it when I had my headphones in.
I was charged twice, payment taken by expedia and by the hotel. I have been advised that the hotel have refunded my payment but nothing showing yet.
It is such a shame this beautiful building is being left to deteriorate but not spending money is one thing, there is no excuse for it not being cleaned properly."
"One of the highlights of our Northumberland road trip, Langley Castle felt like such a treat, packed with character, history and atmosphere. We ate really well, and there’s something magical about waking up in the grounds of a centuries old castle; it made the whole stay feel genuinely memorable and special.
The only small downside for us was accessibility. My mother has limited mobility and found the stairs difficult, so we used the service lift to reach the drawing room. Even so, in a six hundred year old castle you can only expect so much, and the team were helpful when we needed a bit of extra support whicih made it even more fun. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it.
Thankyou!!

"Lovely location near Hexham with stately home vibes and comfortable bedrooms. The bar overlooks the golf course and has lots of nooks and crannies to settle in with a glass of whatever to people watch. The restaurant has a very good menu and the staff are attentive and make sure all is OK with your meal. Breakfast is self serve with full platters of tasty food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
"Brilliant stay! The staff were very friendly and attentive and were happy to upgrade my room free of charge after requesting a room with a bath.
The room (27) was spacious and clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean and shower had a good water pressure.
The food at the restaurant was great and reasonably priced (pork cutlet and espresso creme brulee highly recommended). The booking offered a complementary breakfast of toast, jams, yoghurt, cereals, fruit etc and had a decent selection.
Really nice walking/running routes behind the hotel leading off into the countryside also.
Its a pity that hotel customers are not allowed to use the gym and pool however without paying extra for it. This was not made clear upon booking and I was slightly disappointed by this. Also would be nice to ditch the small single use toiletry minis and opt for more eco friendly shampoo/shower gel refill dispensers in the shower.
Overall great stay and would 100% come back when next working in the area."
